So a few weeks ago, I got invited to go to a live show by a friend of mine that is part of a band called Rhyzmica. They are based into the Kanto area of Japan and are a 7 member band that play an interesting mix of tropical, pop, rockish music. The show was located in a venue called “The Game”. It’s located near the Tokyu Hands store, no more than a 10 minute walk from Shibuya station. Luckily for me, I was also allowed to bring my camera to the event, so I took the opportunity to shoot some pictures and get some more practice in for live events!
The event hit off about 6pm and several bands were playing that night: lastsecond, LYLA BOOPS, rhyzmica, SAN TA LAS, Wood Solid Dance Jam, ガーターヴェルト, (AtoZ). The genre of music played was mostly rock, but there is just something about attending a close-knit live show that you can’t experience anywhere else.
After a few bands wrapped up, my friend’s band went up and played. Everyone was pretty hyped up by this point, thanks to the live music and flowing rivers of alcohol. By this time, everyone and their mother decided to buy me drinks, and well, being in Japan, I could not deny 😀 Needless to say, I put the camera away at this point and decided to enjoy the show instead of looking for possible shots. Overall the event was pretty awesome and I can’t wait to go to some more live events in the future.
